Baking Instructions
Tarte will keep frozen for several months. Allow at least two hours to preheat oven, bake, and cool before serving.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Remove plastic dome from frozen tarte (do not thaw) and place tarte on a metal baking sheet or pan in the middle of the oven.
- Bake for approximately 60 minutes or until crust is golden and filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Remove tarte from oven and let cool for at least 20 minutes or until tarte is cool enough to handle.
- Just before serving, invert a flat serving dish over the top of the tarte. Holding the tarte and service dish securely together with both hands, flip the tarte upside down. Lift the disposable container off the tarte and peel the parchment paper off as well, if it remains.
- Serve the tarte warm or at room temperature with lightly whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
Ingredients: Apples, sugar, butter, flour, water, lemon juice, vegetable shortening, salt.
